QUINTA DA BOA VISTA FULL DESCRIPTION: This stunning and spacious property sits amidst 2 hectares of land planted with 180 olive trees, very near Evora, an Unesco World Heritage Site. From a long awning covered terrace in front of the master bedroom, sitting room and dining room, you can enjoy views over a field of lavender (a feast for the eyes between February and April) towards the castle of Evoramonte, a small historic village on top of a hill located about 14 kms from the property. The eye-catching interiors are decorated with modern art and quirky objects, a play on colours, light and space; whilst the building in itself is typical of the region with thick walls, painted white with blue borders and dark red shutters, terracotta tiled floors, vaulted ceilings, and a wide open fire place in the main reception room (90 sq meters). The rear and main access into the property is via an attractive enclosed courtyard formally laid out with herbs and fruit trees - this in turn leads to the swimming pool area which has a covered terrace and can be safely locked to children. With no immediate neighbours, this is a place to just be and relax; but should you find the energy to get out and about to explore the nearby villages, we highly recommend you also try the local gastronomy and wines! ACCOMMODATION - 6 GUESTS Wide hallway entry into the villa, giving access to all the other divisions. The main reception room is very spacious and has been set up as two separate sitting areas (one around the fireplace) and an office, opening onto a long front terrace (set up for dining or lounging outdoors). The dining room also opens onto the long front terrace and has sliding doors to the kitchen. Kitchen with separate service door to exterior and laundry room. Guest WC. Master bedroom suite with dressing room and shower bathroom, opening onto the long front terrace. Two twin bedroom suites each wth with shower bathroom. STAFF & SERVICES Daily maid service included from 09:00 – 11:00 hours, who will also prepare breakfast. Extra hours (cleaning, cooking or ironing) on request. Pool and garden maintenance included. DISTANCES Vimieiro (for basic shopping) at 1,2 kms distance ; Evoramonte (historic village) at 14 kms; Estremoz (Saturday market, supermarkets & restaurants) at 22 kms; Évora (historic sites, excellent restaurants & shops) at 37 kms; and Lisbon Aiport 1 ½ hours drive time away. OTHER FACTS Saturday change-over days preferred. Minimum rental period 1 week. Check-in after 16:00 hours / Check-out before 10:00 hours. Welcome hamper included in the rental. Household linen + pool towels supplied/changed twice a week. Baby cot & high chair on request. Telephone & internet connection/use on request. Cable TV (wide screen), DVD player, and music system. Winter rentals supplement applies for central heating and logs for fire place. Other equipment available: washing machine & dryer, dishwasher, large fridge & freezer, gas hob & oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere and juice maker/food processor. Swimming Pool: 8 x 4 metres and 1,5 metres deep with high step (not suitable for toddlers).
