CASA DE LA PLAZA DE MORITOS ~ EXTREMADURA, SPAIN
Garden The Swimming Pool Garden

CASA DE LA PLAZA DE MORITOS FULL DESCRIPTION:

Commanding breathtaking panoramic countryside views over the countryside towards Portugal and the Gredos Mountains, this extremely spacious and charming family home has impressive reception rooms with high ceilings and many detailed original stone features. The property is located in the spacious pedestrian zone Plaza de Moritos at the summit of the town of Trujillo, in the old quarter known as the “Villa” adjacent to the famous church of Santa Maria la Mayor Castle and the Pizarro Museum.

Los Moritos once formed part of a 15th Century palace and is now meticulously and carefully restored. All arranged at ground floor level, the property is suitable for wheel chair use and has flag stone and wooden floors, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. The interiors are very well equipped, and the bedrooms have wall-to-wall carpets with the exception of the master bedroom, which has wooden floors. The two principal bedrooms are also fitted with air conditioning units, whilst the remaining two benefit from ceiling fans. A totally secluded mature walled garden is arranged on two levels and includes a fan shaped swimming pool (4,50 x 9,50 metres with roman steps) that is totally enclosed for safety reasons, plus various terraces.

Trujillo is an important Spanish medieval town, a place of great architectural and historical importance, set in the heart of Extremadura, a region virtually untouched by time.  This traditional town would be ideally suited to visitors seeking complete and peaceful relaxation within ancient surroundings. On offer are the delights of Extremadurian cuisine, huge expanses of wild unspoilt countryside and wildlife, plus the opportunity to visit interesting historical towns such as the famous Roman town of Merida & other picturesque villages within an hours drive.
